Susan Gordon is primarily a painter, however Ceramics was her concentration for her BFA in Studio Arts at the University of Auburn. Susan teaches pottery classes for children and adults in hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques.
Susan's work is created with cone six stoneware and is fired in an electric kiln. She creates pottery that is feminine, elegant, and sometimes can appear delicate; but is however functional and meant for everyday use. Her influences range from modern textile and fashion design to her Grandmother’s antique silver tea set and cake fondant designs. Susan strives to create work that will add beauty and delight and function to everyday life.
Susan works out of her home in Homewood, Alabama.
