Description: Hackwith Design House initially started in 2013 as a small brand offering limited-edition run items that would come out weekly. The production run would cap at 25 items, which was amazing because consumers could be pretty sure no one else would be wearing their same dress and Hackwith Design House could plan very accurately their textile purchasing so as not to have any wasted materials. The brand had a cult following and they eventually expanded into different categories including stocked ready-to-wear items and eventually plus sizes.
Inclusive, plus-size clothing can be difficult to find. Add on the desire to buy ethical and/or locally made brand and you have a big challenge on your hands. Plus size is typically defined as over size 14. 68% of American women are considered plus size, yet the category only consists of .1% of the luxury women's clothes market. There is an enormous opportunity here and we've compiled a list of American made plus-size brands to give you a head start.
