Description: All yard from Scruffy Dog Eco is hand dyed using items from nature. Scruffy Dog Eco uses flowers, plants, cones and seeds for dyes always considering nature in their work. Scruffy Dog creates unique yarn and spinning fibre for the creation of beautiful projects.
Only whole plants are used, not dye extracts. When it is not possible to extract certain colors from the natural surrounding area, Scruffy Dog uses dried plants sourced from ethical sources.
The process is slow and labour intensive and the colours are rich and often surprising. Every skein of yarn or braid of fiber takes three days to prepare and weeks to actually produce.
